Up for your bidding pleasure is one Stunning Victorian Vaseline Opalescent Jack in the Pulpit Vase. I bet you havent seen one like this in a long time? I believe it to be a Webb piece (Please correct me if Im wrong) and of course from the Victorian period 1870 to 1890. It stands a stately 9 1/2" tall and the flower is 6x7". The unique base is a twisted stem going into 5 PERFECT hand tooled star shaped feet.The simplistic shape makes it so stunning. The color is beautiful being a darker vaseline on the base and the flower is opalecent on the back. I took extra pictures inside with no flash the rest are outside.I hand washed it and was not able to get out a very small amount of dirt in the very bottom of the jack before it turns up into the solid glass curly stem area. I feel it will come out with the right gaget. T is no staining, cracks, chips or repairs, Great condition! T are some sand particles in the feet done during hand blowing of the Jack. Bid with confidence, you will be proud to own this one. T is alot of reflection going on, NO DAMAGE.I collected Jacks for many years and the fun was the hunt.. We traveled far and wide (New Jersey & Pa)seeking them out and sometimes I would go more than a year before even seeing one. Thiry,forty years back they comanded a good price and I always paid a good price most times over a hundred dollars each. Ebay has changed the whole field of collecting and the prices. I would much rather be buying as t are so many good buys out t but I have to start selling. I will keep selling more as long as I dont take a beating without a reserve. I know you hate reserves and so do I.. I will be starting all my auctions at $9.99 to save on fees and NO RESERVE to play guessing games with. Please take advantage of the ability to supersize my pictures as I pay extra for that feature to help you view the pictures . Any white on glass is normally refection from the flash or shadows.. Your GOOD check or money order is needed for payment. I do not use paypal because of the fees involved. I usually ship same day as payment received, including checks, according to your GOOD feedback. (regardless of what ebay's format says, I don't hold checks). NO INTERNATIONAL SALESUSPS priority shipping charges and insurance is mandatory at postal rates. I will gladly send you more pictures, just ask. If not as described, notify me within 3 days of receiving, send it back in the same condition and your winning bid less all shipping charges will be refunded.
