WHAT A LOVELY SET OF MID 19th CENTURY LARGE MEAT FORKS! EACH IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a very good weight indeed and in tip top order too. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely full set of solid silver dinner forks of quite sensational gauge and weight.Hallmarks are deep and clear. Each is assayed in London and all are dated 1867 (year letter m) and and these are by very good makers Henry John Lias and Henry John Lias-refer to Jackson's pocket edition page 60. This is a lovely mid Victorian lot and a must have. A really delightful and scarce set! Their length is large at 8.25 inches. These lovely forks are of exceptional quality and each is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. Pattern is FIDDLE.This is a popular and highly sought after traditional pattern. Weight of actual silver is a sublime 476 grams (15.31 troy ounces),each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. The condition is superb and they are of superior quality and condition.The tines are of perfect shape being long,sharp and perfectly even.Each is engraved to the front with contemporary initials and always has been,definitely no erasures either. Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver,please do have a look. A truly beautiful,special and most wonderful lot. Would be ideal for making up a canteen of this popular pattern. PERFECT FOR USE ALL YEAR ROUND,DINE IN REAL STYLE!
