Superb 1973 BULOVA AMBASSADOR 11 AOACB Vintage RETRO AUTOMATIC Mens Watch

Welcome to Peregrinz Vintage Watches Auctions Worldwide! Please read listings in full, study all photos carefully and only bid when you are happy with the terms of sale, thank you..

This auction is for an excellent time piece from a great and revered watch manufacturer. This is a superb 1973 Ambassador model with a BULOVA 11 AOACB 23 JEWEL AUTOMATIC (self winding) with an unusual quick set date function. It comes on its original Bulova signed strap which currently fits just under an 8 inch wrist. It keeps excellent time and is ready to go.

The Dial

The dial is signed for BULOVA AMBASSADOR at the top and AUTOMATIC under the hands. At the very bottom it says SWISS MADE.

This is a formidable looking watch with a serious retro edge to it – it has a beautiful large dial with an outer track chapter which sits slightly above the dial and adds extra depth and dimension.

Ultimately, beyond the retro appeal this is a minimalist piece with very little fuss and an emphasis on elegance and quality. It has an unusual quickset date function which operates by repeated pulling out and pushing in of the crown.

Measurements

It measures:

39mms across including the crown 38mms top to bottom not including the lugs 9mms deep

Movement

The movement is the BULOVA 11 AOACB 23 JEWELS AUTOMATIC N3 (1973) and is keeping excellent time currently.

Please note however that vintage watches cannot be guaranteed and it is always advisable to have them serviced at regular intervals to protect your investment .

Cosmetic Condition

Cosmetically, overall this looks very well. There are signs of age commensurate wear to the case and strap but nothing too serious and all good testament to its authenticity. The dial and crystal look pretty much perfect and the movement is gleaming. Most importantly, please study the photos and make your own assessment prior to bidding.

Strap

It comes on its original signed BULOVA strap which currently has enough links in it to fit just under an 8 inch wrist – so this is not a huge measurement. Please bear this in mind – links can be taken out but we do not have any more to add.

In short, a great quality time piece with excellent brand form and a top quality movement – perfect for special occasions or everyday wear. Don’t miss it.

This starts VERY LOW at £4.99 with NO RESERVE in TRUE Ebay style. YOU DECIDE THE FINAL PRICE!
