This superb bronze of the standing german shepherd dog was part of a recent house clearance. The owner was an avid collector of bronzes from the 18th, 19th and later centuries. This included figurines of militaria, art deco, art nouveau, animals and classical. With lots of negotiations with the executors of the estate we were able to purchase the entire collection. This is a superb bronze dog which during our research we have been informed is certainly 19th century and is a german shepherd or similar to. Portrayed in a stretching posture with the pointed ears raised and open mouth. The overall height is about 10.5inches with a max length of about 13inches. A wonderful overall detailed portrayal. Condition: As per pictures with no blemishes. Besides being a very collectable 19th century bronze of a german shepherd dog with the wonderful overall posture, would also look fabulous displayed.
