Welcome to the auction for an outstanding vintage cut to clear bowl. Although this is not a category that I have any expertise in, I know Gorgeous - and this is definitely it. The composition of the cut pattern is finely executed and well balanced, not lacking the precision so often absent in later made pieces. I acquired this years ago from a woman who traveled all of her life and collected beautiful things all along the way. I have adored it and am happy to pass it along to a collector of Nachtmann or American Brilliant - it is a noteworthy addition to any collection! Bowl has classic shape with unusual treatment of the cutting technique, aspects of the larger starbursts are frosted - adding depth to the design. Multiple saw tooth cuts form the top edge, just a bit different than most cut bowls. Measures: 8" top opening, 3 1/2" deep, weighs 4 pounds. Condition is perfect, aside from 2 miniscule (too small to photo - stated for declaration) flea bites (more like scratches) to the top of the highest points of the scalloped top - no height is missing. Bowl also has light scratches on the bottom at foot ring, customary for a bowl of this age - again stated for declaration. Neither of these detracts in any way from the visual perfection of the bowl, and should not discourage you from winning this outstanding item. This is terrific for both floral and candle arrangements - if you entertain, this will be your favorite centerpiece! Actual ship anyw in US $15.60 Prio/tracking, $11.80 Parcel/tracking. Thanks for visiting and please stop again as will be listing other items and yes, we combine shipping! Happy Autumn!
