The game board has beautiful art work of figures in the squares and a detailed trim around the outside. Also on the sides of the boards are wonderful hand painted scenes of figures. The board can also be turned over for a game on the inside. It measures 19.5 x 19.5 inches. Overall condition is very good. T is some small spots of damage or chips to the lacquer which is usual with a piece of this age, also the hinges have been replaced. Finally it appears to have been varnished at some point most likely to protect the art work. It displays beautifully.
