UK BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE WILL COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS ON MULTIPLE PURCHASES WHERE POSSIBLE AND ECONOMICAL You are bidding on a very good quality, late 19th to early 20th Century barograph Difficult to date the item accurately but certainly looks to at least be Edwardian period if not earlier Case is manufactured from mahogany or possibly walnut, shaped base plinth with shaped feet Very good quality item with eight day, platform escapement mechanical movement, eight x bellows, bevelled glass windows, mahogany or walnut case with draw and turned wooden handle The barograph comes with a dozen paper charts, ink filler bottle with brass knob, ink bottle with ink There was also a key marked BAROMETER (clock type with square) in the drawer, not sure if this from the barograph or another item but will include Measures 36.5 cm long x 21.75 cm deep x 21 cm high Weight approx 5.5 - 6 Kilograms I can't find a makers mark on the barograph although it looks very similar to a Short & Mason manufactured barograph, the clock movement is stamped Pat. 3715.02, the rear of the wooden case is stamped 479 I haven't tested the instrument with ink personally but did put a starting point ink spot on the paper before running and everything seems to be working as it should, clock movement is running well Overall in excellent condition, no major marks, read more
