An Antique Negretti & Zambra Sighting Compass with Original Leather Case Circa 1900, this terrific piece of scientific, military/maritime equipment has been made by one the leading makers of instruments including their world renowned barometers. Crafted in a sturdy brass case finished in gunmetal grey, this compass has a bright acid green compass disc, viewed through an aperture and with a flip-up viewfinder and arm with sighting hair. The compass comes complete with its original leather carry case to keep it protected. The condition is very good with some minor wear to the gunmetal finish, consistent with age and use. Please bear in mind this is an antique and so one must not expect the item and its case to be in as new or mint condition. However, it is fully working and a delight to hold and use.
