This very decorative mug was made in 1896 by Aynsley, solely for the prestigious London store of William Whiteley. Situated in Westbourne Grove in the West End of London, this exclusive store held the "Royal Appointment", and was frequented by the aristocracy, nobility and gentry.At this time it was considered more fashionable than Harrods.
