Beautiful victorian bisque boy dressed in a chef outfit and carrying a basket. He has the most angelic face! I believe this bisque boy is from Belgium, an Andenne, quite rare. These were made during the years in Belgium in which many wars were taking place, and many of these bisque figures were destroyed. From what I've been told from a collector and restorer in Belgium, it's hard to find the bisque in Europe. Many that have survived are in the states, from immigrants who brought them Many collectors would guess he's German or even French, as many do not know the history of the wonderful Belgium Andenne bisque. The figure is beautifully molded, the basket is textured, t are some tiny white enamel beads decorating his clothes, he's just wonderful. The figure is a nice large size measuring 11" tall. He is on a pedestal base which is also nicely decorated. The condition is excellent! I do not see any chips, hairlines, or repairs to the boy. The only minor flaw I see is some chipped petals to the flower that's on the base. This one is hard for me to sell, and I know that a collector of bisque will absolutely love this piece! Sorry, however all of my sales are final. Please ask questions if you would like to clarify anything and I will gladly reply. All of my current items will help to fund my son's therapy for autism.
