ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS: Hi everyone,thanks for taking a look at our items. We do hope everyone is having a nice holiday season, and we wish everyone all the best in 2008. Over the past couple months we have been unpacking and getting ready to list some amazing examples from our private collection. Over the next couple weeks we will be listing these items which are some of the finest pieces we have Ever listed online, some really amazing examples, and all starting low with No Reserve. If you haven't seen our auctions before it is nice to know we have Never Had a Reserve on one item ...Ever, no matter what it is! We also start everything off nice and low, usually under 15.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure. Also if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, always at least 50% lower for the second item and even lower for more items. ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Fine c1900 Art Nouveau Figural Wall Sconce Lamp. The Sconce is part of a Large Collection of Fine Quality Estate items up for auction, as you can see in the last picture. The Sconce is one of the Finest Period examples we have seen. The Sconce if from my Parents Estate and Collection w the Sconce was used for many years. Everyone that has seen the Sconce stopped and staired at it, and then commented on how nice it was, always inquiring on w they could possibly find one! As you can see the Sconce is Solid Cast iron and can be used in, our outdoors. The Sconce also has this Great Art Nouveau Figural Mask as you can see, and a great Flowing Period Form throughout. The Sconce also has its original Green Glass Shade. The Shade is also in fine condition with a few very small nicks around the edges, most likely original and no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Sconce does need to be rewired for use, as someone a little handy, or an electrician could easily do. The Sconce is also a nice size for display, the back wall plate measuring 15 3/4 inches long, and coming out from the wall 10 inches. The Hanging Lamp measures 14 inches long in total. I have no idea what the Very Fine Art Nouveau Cast Iron Figural Wall Sconce would be worth. We have never seen another example quite like it, it really is an impressive piece, alot nicer than we can take pictures of. As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide.
