A UNIQUE DAMASCUS KNFE, VERY BEAUTIFUL Superb Giraffe Bone Handle by J. Normen, Sweden This fantastic knife was exclusively custom hand made by J. Normen, using exotic material and excellent craftmanship. B lade of this knife was forged by J. Normen with 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steel true layers (512). Both steels were superbly forged together in a stunning rain drop pattern andwere oil quenched and the final rockwell hardness of the blade along its edge is 57 and along the spine is 42-45. Overall length of this beauty is 11.40 inches and the length of the blade is 7 inches. Blade is 5.10 mm thick. Spine of the blade is finely hand fileworked. Unique and elegant handle has stunning looks and excellent fit & finish. It is made of giraffe bone scales fastened to full tang with brass pins and strong epoxy for life time durability. Giraffe bone is complimented with this stunning hand formed color, which is deep inside the bone. Handle has red micarta lining and brass spacers. Knife is complimented with beautiful hand crafted brass bolsters, polished to an immaculate finish. This unique and beautiful knife feels awesome in the hand and provides an excellent. The weight and balance of the knife is very good. The weight of this knife alone is 290 grams, and with leather sheath this knife weighs 390 grams. This knife is complete with a custom made sheath of original calf skin. This finest quality leather sheath is totally hand tooled and sewn. Extra thick leather, strong double stitching and rivets make this sheath robust which can withstand years of rough and tough use. The sheath can be worn on belt.
