SUPERB DEEP COLOR SATURATION ORANGE SPESSARTINE GARNET CRYSTALS Sizes for both: 12.5 mm tall x 12 wide x 7 mm thick and 13 mm tall x 10 wide x 9 mm thick weight: each piece 5.80 and 5.70 carats. 11.50 carats total play of color: Brilliant luster deep cadmium yellow orange zoning. Pics show both reflected & transmitted light. Found near Galileia, Minas Gerias, Brazil. This is some of the finest top notch spessartine faceting rough available from Brazil. I could use the words like deeply saturated, flawless, extra-fine, stupendous, AAA...etc. But I will not. All I will tell you is that this color range is so brilliant & deeply saturated that the finished faceted goods were fetching $25-75 dollars a carat wholesale. Retail for larger cut stones was $300 dollars a carat and up. That was until the Nigerians dumped kilo's of their newly discovered orange spessartine garnet into the market around 5 years back. The Nigerian spessartine is now exhausted. I do believe the price of this Brazilian spessartine, once finished into faceted goods, has come back up to w it should be. This rough has been expertly cobbed. I only have 125 grams available in sets that will cut out perfect pairs for earrings or single stones. First come....first served. T is no more rough spessartine available from this pocket of this particular size. This rough will sell out quickly. I have not offered this quality ever before. Ususally I facet it myself, but due to time constraints & prior commitments I am unable to do so now...I pass it on to you. Excellent value and savings...do the math.
