This is a superb carved frieze with the apples and pears which, during our research we have been informed it originates from the Black Forest and is from the early part of the 19th century. Wonderful intricate and decorative overall carving with the leaves and the fruit. It has a height of about 6inches with an overall length of about 31.5inches. Depth about 1.5inches. Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is without blemish exept minor chipping. Besides being a very collectable early 19th century Black Forest carved frieze of an outstannding quality, would also look fabulous displayed.
