These outstanding pair of authentic original Margot de Taxco Sterling Silver Earrings are in a rare and seldom seen design. Very Art Deco in feel, they are made in thick silver with a bold design with deep engraving highlighted with small silver domes. They are slightly curved to hug your ear and can be worn in two different ways for different looks (see photos). They measure 1 5/16 inches long by 1/2 inches wide and have screw backs. One earring is marked "Sterling Made in Mexico" and the other is marked "Margot de Taxco 5243" along with the eagle stamp 13 (the eagle stamp is important in identifying authentic items made by Margot during during lifetime. Her designs are being reproduced today with her hallmark but without the eagle stamp). They are in very good original condition, the screw backs work well and they have a lovely deep patina. A beautiful, classic and timeless pair of earrings by one of the most famous of the Mexican Silver Masters and a treasure for the collector. These are being re-listed due to a non-paying bidder.
