WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE GEORGE III SILVER MUG. IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And is embossed all over and has a most unusual pierced rim to base. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely solid silver christening mug of quite superb gauge and weight.Hallmarks are deep and clear. This is a a truly wonderful antique lot well worth owning. The condition is very good indeed and it is gilded inside. Assayed in London and dated 1819 (year letter d ) and it has a maker's mark for top maker of the period John Edward Terrey. This is a lovely late George III lot and a must have. Mug is 4.25 inches high and 4 inches wide-including handle.A really delightful mug! The weighable silver of the above item is a hefty 198 grams (6.37 troy ounces). This lovely piece is of exceptional quality and it is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. This lovely piece is engraved with initials LG.
