This is a superb LARGE VINTAGE SEWN HESSIAN UNION JACK FLAG In my estimation it dates from around the early 20th Century, circa 1900-1920, but please make up your own mind about this. The flag measures approx 7 feet 2 inches (86 inches) (2180mm) long, by 3 feet 8 inches (44 inches) (1090mm) tall and is made from sewn hessian cotton panels, stitched together. It has a hemp rope, with a wooden attachment toggle. It is in good original condition with very light wear (a few small holes) consistent with its great age, but no major damage or repairs. This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great decorative piece and ba a superb addition to any collection.
