Due to impending changes in state tax laws, we are motivated to sell some of the silver now, especially since the silver weight value is on the rise with no end in sight. This merchandise is from my parents vast estate, and t is a lot of that still to be sold, however it became apparent that local auctions were doing just as well, but this round is geared more for the European and Asian market. SUPERB MODERNIST 835 SILVER COFFEE AND TEA SERVICE Complete with a matching tray, fabulous hammered surface rare 835 silver coffee and tea service by maker HKJ, and with some kind of ivory handles, and finials as well. The finest quality heavy weight silver set with a Modernist look and the martele hammered surface. It really is a beauty when the complete service is all set up in a display setting.. CONDITION REPORT: 1.Tray has some slight surface scratches and will need a buffing. 2. Coffee pot lid is unsecured or loose as the holding pin is missing, but the coffee pot is in perfect condition overall. 3.Teapot has one shallow round dent in the middle of one of the lower lobes, otherwise it is perfect. 4. Creamer has one shallow round dent in the middle of one of the lower lobes, and one handle has an underside crack not visible from above but will need gluing as t is some looseness. 5. Sugar has one shallow round dent in the middle of one of the lower lobes, otherwise it is perfect. SIZES and WEIGHTS 1. Coffee Pot is 10.5 inches high and 11 inches from handle edge to spout, and WEIGHS 28.7 ounces. 2. Teapot is approximately 8 inches high and 12 inches from handle edge to spout and weighs 29.3 ounces ! 3.Creamer is approximately 5.5 inches high and 6 inches wide, 4 deep, and WEIGHS 320 grams. 4.Sugar is about 4.5 inches high, and WEIGHS 230 grams. 5.TRAY is 24.5 by 14.25 inches and WEIGHS 3 pounds 14 ounces. NOTICE! I would sure like to see this sell but if it doesn't after two listings, I am going to melt it as soon as silver gets a pinch higher. Thanks.
