MOSER RUBY GLASS DOUBLE HANDLED CASKET I am thrilled to offer for your consideration this gorgeous Moser ruby glass double handled casket. Beautifully enamelled in gilt, this beauty has gilt metal mounts, rests on four elaborate metal feet and has a lock for a little key (no longer present). It is in a luscious ruby color which is quite rare. The gilt is perfect and this box looks like it was never handled. Made by the famous art glass designer, Kolomon Moser of Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia.. circa 1885. Hinge works perfectly with a proper close.. Condition is wonderful with the exception of a couple of shallow flakes to the bottom of the glass, which could easilty be polished out with no effect. 4 1/2" high. You will not be disappointed, this is an exquisite antique Moser box and very RARE! I have seen boxes in this color currently on the market for $3500-$6,000.
