This is a superb and original 19th century spelter bust of the poet Dante. It was part of a large house clearance w the owner was a collector of bronzes and similar items from the 18th, 19th and later centuries. This included various bronzes & spelters of art nouveau and art deco figures, militarian figures, animals and other similar related figurines. With lots of negotiations we were able to secure many of the bronzes and related items. Wonderful portrayal and overall detailing of the poet. Has an overall height of about 6inches with a max overall base size of about 7 x 2.75inches. Condition: Is subject to slight rubbing with a small hole to the side as per pictures. Besides being a very collectable and original spelter of the poet Dante from the 19th century, would also look fabulous displayed.
