These are a superb pair of Dresden basket comports from the late 19th century to the early twentieth century. Dresden logo under the base. Certainly a wonderful pair of decorative comports with the figure decoration centrally. A male piper to one with a female holding the hems of her dress to other. Varied other decoration around the trees with squirrels, birds and flowers. Pierced baskets to tops with hand painted flowers internally. Applied flowers around the baskets externally with similar to the base. Each basket comport has an overall height of about 10inches with a max dia to tops of about 5.25inches. Condition considering the age is very good to both but both have overall minor chipping to the applied flowers and leaves as per pictures. Besides being a very collectable pair of Dresden basket comports with the figures centrally from the late 19th century, both would also look fabulous displayed.
