This is a superb .pair of 19th century Staffordshire cows with the farmhands of a male & female. Certainly wonderful portrayals of the cow and the figurines. Both have an overall height of about 10inches with a max base size of about 9 x 4.5inches. Condition: The condition with the female. Areas of early repair to the cow w threre are early signs of the beginning of restoration with the white. Hairlines to the rear legs with repairs to the horn. Chip on a minor scale, to the front of hat. Other, similar with early restoration to the rear of the cow with the white areas and repair to a horn. Both are subject to minor hairlines to the base, above and under. With todays modern and advanced restoration techniques, both certainly can be improved. Besides being a very collectable pair of Staffordshire cows with the farm hands from the 19th century, both would also look fabulous displayed.
