Superb Photo VENICE - SALVIATI 1880s #4 Canal & Gondola This is one of a number of unmounted albumen photos that I have listed this week that feature Venice and that were taken by Paolo Salviati. This one features a small canal and is titled Ponte Rialot e Piazzo Camerlenghi.
It has become a little curled, which is quite common with unmounted albumen photos, but framing will solve this. It is 9 3/4 by 7 3/4 inches (247x196mm) and has lost a little contrast. T are also the remnants of mounting paste on the back but this does not affect the image.
