This is a superb art deco bronze figurine. A lot of our bronzes are from a recent house clearance. The owner was an avid collector of bronzes from the 18th, 19th and later centuries. This included figurines of militaria, art deco, art nouveau, animals and classical. With lots of negotiations with the executors of the estate we were able to purchase the entire collection. We also obtain bronzes from other sources, within the uk and from other European sources. This is a superb art deco two tone bronze figurine. Portrayed in a kneeling posture with a hand above her head with the other stretched to her side. Her decorative dress spread evenly to the floor. Mounted onto a marble base. The overall height is about 12inches with a max base size of about 14 x 7inches. Inscribed mark to dress: F. Preiss. Certainly an after. Condtion is excellent and has no blemishes. Besides being a very collectable art deco two tone bronze figurine, would also look fabulous displayed.
