Superb Royal Worcester Hand painted Fruit Tea Cup & Saucer. Painted with Traditional fruit to a mossy background and signed by the artist Edward Townsend fruit used is Peaches, Apples, grapes, plums and cherries , the cherries is a nice touch as these aren't used that often in bunches of three. The shape, the fact that the cup is painted inside and out, the quality of the painting makes this cup and saucer probably one of the finest I have seen in 15 years of collecting royal Worcester and I have seen 100's if not 1000's, this is on one a set of three I have to list, one has already sold. It comes in excellent unblemished condition with no damage or restoration, no scratches or rubbing to the gilding, it must have spent most of its life in a cabinet, the condition is that good. The saucer measures 14.5cm in diameter and the cup 10 cm in diameter and 6cm in height. A real gem for the serious royal Worcester collector, I cannot emphasis enough the quality of the the painting, it's some of the best I have ever seen.Layby Scheme available on all items over £300, buy know pay in instalments if you wish, item shipped as soon as last payment received.
