WHAT A LOVELY PAIR OF MID 19th CENTURY PRESERVE SPOONS! EACH IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a very good weight and by very good quality makers too. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely pair of solid silver large preserve spoons of quite sensational gauge and weight.Hallmarks are deep and clear. Their potential uses are many and they are a wonderful lot well worth owning. Each is assayed in London and dated 1835/6 (year letters u/A) and they have a maker's mark for very good makers Joseph and Albert Savory (JS AS)-refer to Jackson's pocket edition page 66. This is a lovely late William IV lot and a must have. A really delightful pair! Their length is quite large at 5 inches. These lovely spoons are of exceptional quality and each is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. Pattern is QUEENS DOUBLE STRUCK.This is a popular and highly sought after pattern. Weight of actual silver is a sublime 58 grams (1.86 troy ounces),each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. The condition is superb and they are of superior quality and condition.The bowls are of perfect shape with a thick unworn rim and tip.Each is engraved with a wondrous animal head crest and always has been,definitely no erasures either. Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver,please do have a look. A truly beautiful and most wonderful lot which is way too good to scrap. Would be ideal for making up a canteen of this popular pattern. PERFECT FOR USE ALL YEAR ROUND,DINE IN REAL STYLE!
