This is a superb bronze standing race horse and jockey. Our main source of bronzes is attributed to a recent house clearance. The owner was an avid collector of bronzes from the 18th, 19th and later centuries. This included figurines of militaria, art deco, art nouveau, animals and classical. With lots of negotiations with the executors of the estate we were able to purchase the entire collection. Our other interesting sources are in the uk with also sources abroad. This is a superb bronze race with seated jockey. Mounted on a bronze naturalistic base whih itself is mounted on a marble base. Has an overall height of about 13.5inches with a max base size of about 10 x 5inches. Inscribed mark to rear of base: Ellis. Condition: As per pictures with no blemishes. Wonderful overall detailing. Besides being a very collectable and very heavy bronze race horse and jockey, would also look fabulous displayed.
