ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS: Hi everyone,thanks for taking a look at our items. Also just to let you know if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, usually at least 50% lower for the second item. ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Fine Early Hand Made Turkish or Indian Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Jar. The Tea Caddy is part of a Large Collection of Silver and other Fine Quality Estate items up for auction, as you can see in the last picture. The Tea Caddy is one of the nicest we have seen Beautifully and Ornately decorated from top to bottom. It is also completely Hand Made throughout. The Jar is also Hallmarked Which is a Very Rare find on these early Jars. I believe by the style and quality the Jar would be a Turkish or Indian Silver example and quite early being made in the 1800's some time. The Jar is also in nice original condition with no holes, cracks, or repairs. The Tea Caddy Jar weights 120 grams on our postal scale. It is also a nice size for use and traveling with measuring 3 1/2 inches wide, by 2 1/2 inches tall. I have no idea what the Solid Silver Tea Caddy would be worth. You do not see to many as nice come up for auction, and Hallmarked, with No Reserve! As usual we just start all my items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!! They loved collecting the Finest, and Rarest items they could find, and doing a lot of traveling always came home with a few treasures! You should take a look at my other items, you never know what you may find! We usually list Thursday nights, but sometimes take week off for a break!
