INSURANCE:
New Zealand Post does not insure antiques unless they are sent by their prohibitively expensive Courier Post. However, Allen's Antiques offers insured air post to a maximum cover of $US500, to the following countries: U.S.A., Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Any antique item sent by economy post is uninsurable, and at the buyer's risk.
If the combined cost of the item plus the postage/shipping exceeds $US500, then for the item to be insured, it must be sent by United Parcel Service. Items sent by United Parcel Service may be insured up to $US40,000.
Otherwise, insurance is optional, and if goods are sent uninsured, they are at the buyer's risk.

Insurance costs 3% (of the combined cost of the item, plus postage/shipping), with a minimum charge of $US5.50.

LAYBY (LAYAWAY) PLAN

Buyers are welcome to use our Layby (Layaway) Plan, provided they can ad to our terms of sale, which are as follows: Sale Value $US200 (minimum) to $US1,000
Deposit 25%, then 3 monthly payments of 25% each Sale Value $US1,001 to $US3,000
Deposit 1/7th, then 6 monthly payments of 1/7th Sale Value $US3,001 Up
Deposit 10%, then 12 monthly payments of 7.5% All payments are by Visa or Mastercard.
