Up for your bidding consideration is this large fine 19th century Tokelau fishing tackle container carefully made from the heartwood of the ironwood tree. Measuring approximately 9 inches in height and 14 inches across, it is a stunning Polynesian object with a great color and patina. Very few of these large boxes exist, let alone in private collections, as this island located near Samoa is extremely small and isolated. A museum quality object it should attract interest world wide. As with all of our auctions this rarity is being put up without any reserve so good luck and be sure to check out the beautiful Hawaiian poi pounder that we currently have on offer. Very careful packing and shipping by Fed Ex will be $65.00 in the U.S. due to weight. International shipping fees will depend on destination. All major credit cards accepted by fax with a signature. All sales final. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction ending. Check out my other items ! Be sure to add me to your favorites list !
