Tourmaline with QuartzStak Nala, Haramosh Mts., Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan3.77cm x 3.53cm x 3.38cmDescription/Interesting Notes:A fantastic example of multicolor tourmaline and quartz from Pakistan!!! This specimen consists of two sharp, multicolor tourmaline crystals aesthetically perched on a sharp, robust quartz crystal!!! This specimen is complete and wonderfully aesthetic in person!!! The tourmaline crystals range in size to over 3cm and have sharp, glassy faces with gemmy clarity!!! The tourmaline crystals have dark, olive-brown colored bottom portions that contrast sharply from the top sections - in this case lively green terminations with thin zones of blue and at the very top!!! The color is really quite attractive and glows in dramatic fashion!!! The quartz crystal is quite handsome in and of itself - it is completely terminated, sharp all around, and exhibits pseudocubic features!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! This specimen has been mounted on an acrylic base for optimum display (although it could easily be removed if so desired)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
