This pics do this one no justice...this is just an amazing knife that ia a whole buch nicer than the photos indicate!! This knife is what owning a vintage Puma is all about! This is a vintage Puma Hunter's Pal with a control number that indicates a manufacture date of July, 1971. Although the sheath has certainly been carried, the knife really shows no signs of use. Knife is in perfect condition, with the exception of a few very light hairlines that appear to be from the knife going in and out of the sheath. The blade shows no evidence of sharpening and remains razor sharp. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to none when it comes to a factory made knife. The gorgeous stag handles were carefully selected, perfectly matched, and masterfully hafted. T remain absolutely perfect, with no chips or cracks. The blade is 4", while the knife measures 7-7/8" in overall length. The sheath is in excellent condition as well, with just a small tear in the retaining strap as pictured. Even the attention to detail on the sheath is incredible, with every rivet bearing the Puma logo. The back of the sheath has the German "DBGM" marking. Just a superb knife that would be hard to top!!
