Superb White Northwood TREE TRUNK Carnival Glass Vase

This swung carnival glass vase was made by Northwood, with initial production beginning in 1908. This is Northwood's Tree Trunk pattern and the piece is marked down in the center with the trademark underlined N in circle. This vase sits on a 3 1/2" base (standard size) and stands 11 1/8" tall. The glass color is white and while I won't go so far as to say white Tree Trunks are scarce, they are certainly less common than several other colors. This one has a pastel radium electric finish, very difficult to capture outdoors in the shade. I finally settled for a mediocre indoors picture, but it does show the radium finish better. T are a couple of pinheads on the body, which, if they were on the rim you would call it peeling, because that's exactly what they look like. In other words, I think the vase was made that way, but regardless, I wanted to mention them so everyone would know. One look at them and I think you will agree with me that they cannot be chips because they simply do not look like damage, nor does the glass surrounding them look like it would if t had been impact at the site. Otherwise, this vase has no cracks, chips, heat checks or repairs. White Tree Trunk standard size vases, when they do come up for sale, generally bring $125 to $200 and, I might add, this has some of the best color on a white Tree Trunk that I have read more
