Metallo shoots Superman with a Kryptonite bullet and buries both Superman and Batman alive. Meanwhile, President Lex Luthor is informed that an asteriod made of Kryptonite is heading for earth. Superman/Batman #2World's Finest Part 2 Synopsis: Batman blasts into the sewers to provide an escape route after Superman has been shot with a Kryptonie bullet by Metallo; he and Superman end up in the Batcave, win Alfred removes the kryptonite bullet. Batman discovers that Metallo is a possible suspect in his parent's murder when suddenly an older, different Superman boom tubes into the cave and proceeds to try to kill both Superman and Batman. Superman retrieves the aforementioned Kryptonite bullet and shoots the older Superman with it wupon the older Superman utters a cryptic warning about Luthor and boom tubes out.
