You are bidding on a FULL SIZE Superman sculpted by Randy Bowen and released in 1993 by DC Comics. It is cold cast porcelain and stands approximately 10 ½ inches tall. This is #3243 in a Limited Edition of 6100. This statue received notoriety when it appeared on the Seinfeld set in Jerry's apartment. This is one of the early Bowen pieces and is hand painted with a matte finish paint. T are painting irregularities which is the way this limited edition series was produced and shipped from the factory. It gives it a vintage appearance and is a normal variant of this piece. The cape is hard plastic and unattached and rests securely on the statue's shoulders. Upon close inspection, t is a small hairline scratch at the very bottom of the cape that does not show up in the photos you see. The statue will come repacked in the original box with the original foam packing. The box shows shelf wear--please see pictures and ask for additional photos if needed. This piece has been meticulously cared for and is in excellent condition. It has been on display out of the sun, in a curio cabinet, in a smoke-free home.
