Large collection acquired from a former Hasbro employee estate sale. 100's of items. Check back regularly! This first shot sample is from the 1995 Superman Man of Steel line: Conduit with spinning kryptonite attack cables. This is a complete first shot of the figure with his removable Helmet and cable arms. His right arm spins when you rotate the wheel on his back. This was cast at the Cincinnati location from pre-production molds. If you have ever wanted to own a first shot Superman toy sample, now is your chance! Would look great next to the real toy!First Shot Definition: Prior to mass production of a new model, the manufacturer will cast a short run of models that will include all components. These "First Shot" models are used to gain final permission from license holders, used to ensure that any potential defects in the mold are found and fixed, and are often hand painted for advertising purposes. Most of the time these are made with what ever color plastic happens to be in the machines. Usually changes from this point onwards are very minor in nature. Most of the time these samples are destroyed.
