Offered is an original Civil War Special Order #193, Headquarters, Army of the Potomac, June 18th, 1863. The orders are for 20 days leave, for Surgeon M. F. Price, 1st Pennsylvania Light Artillery. Nice touch , General Hooker's name has been scratched out and Meade's has been written in. I have included a scan from my files of MF Price, that was taken from an auction not too long ago on ebay, that I did not get, but it at least puts a face to the name. Keep in mind this auction is for the paper orders only, no photo (I will send the scan with the paper). The interesting thing is the upcoming Gettysburg battle is less than 20 days away, did Price return in time for the battle? The 1st PA Arty was engaged at Gettysburg and took casualties. This has been folded in thirds, but paper is strong and shows minimal splitting at the very edge of the sheet, at a couple of folds. I will ship flat. The scanner adds some mottling that is not t, the sheet is very clean and an eggshell white. I s hip everything at the most reasonable method/cost I can, considering the packaging requirements for the item being shipped. I will always give the buyer the option of a low cost First Class USPS mailing on flat paper items and images w it can be done, excepting International shipments, which would go Global Flat Rate. Priority USPS is usually buyers choice read more
