Swarovski's "Lead Me" Silver Crystal Dolphins

A Retired Limited Annual Edition

First in the "Mother and Child" trilogy created specifically for The Swarovski Collectors Society (followed by the Seals & the Whales respectively), the Dolphins were introduced at the 1990 Swarovski Gala in Disney World, measuring 3"high x 4½"long x 3½"deep . Sole designer (a very rare occurrence/Ref. 1998) Michael Stamey has his initials, along w/the distinct Swarovski Swan logo and initials, etched into the bottom of each figurine !

The "Mother and Child" series is recognized as Silver Crystal !!! (The word "silver" in Silver Crystal does not mean that t is silver in the products though; as the story goes: A Swarovski craftsman, who held up a finished piece of crystal to light for inspection, was awed by the silvery glow created by the object's spectral brilliance. Since then, all pieces in that collection have been called Swarovski Silver Crystal .)

Seeing mama and baby riding the waves together, depicted in this fine silver crystal craftsmanship, Michael Stamey literally took a scene straight from the ocean waters !!

The Dolphins come :

packed in the original cylinder container w/custom formed foam inserts the Certificate of Authenticity the International Warranty

They have never been restored ! [I'm told that the tail fin tip of the smaller dolphin has a slight chip; so slight, though, that a jeweler's loop was needed to find it (And I have yet to see it!)]. [Some areas of the container's exterior paper skin have blistered (as you can see in the photo); please be assured though, this has done nothing to the integrity of the packaging w/regard to its size, shape, strength, etc.!]

In my opinion, my entire crystal collection is in showroom condition ; as it has been displayed in a specially designed showcase (per our Swarovski representative) which is virtually dust free. The collection is only disturbed bi-annually for cleaning.
