292 Westminster St. Providence, RI 02903 A Figured Maple Queen Anne Highboy Base, with Elaborate Fan, New England, c.1770 Click for more photos and description. Often highboys were separated with a top applied to the base to be used as a small-scale server such as the one we offer and, with the upper part, feet applied and used as a conventional dresser. These lowboy bases make wonderful servers and when they have exceptionally fine fans carved into the central drawer and wonderfully sculpted cabriole legs, we handle them, because they are 18th century antiques unto themselves, and are reasonably priced.
