"Sweat Magazines" are a genre of magazines that continued the legacy of earlier "Spicy" pulps from the 1930s and 1940s. Sometimes also known as "Men's Adventure" or "Men's Interest" magazines. The "Sweat Mag" nickname comes from the fact that they usually have covers picturing sweaty heroes, sweaty villains, and/or sweaty damsels in distress.
