Sverige, Schweden Seraphinen OrdenThe Royal Order of the Seraphim (Hebrew for a category of Angels) (Swedish Kungliga Serafimerorden) is a Swedish Royal order of chivalry created by King Frederick I of Sweden on 23 February 1748, together with the Order of the Sword and the Order of the Polar Star. After the reorganization of the orders in 1975 the order is only awarded to foreign heads of state and members of the royal family (the last non-royal Swedish holder is Sten Rudholm). The order has only one class with the dignity of Knight (Member for women and Member of the Cloth for clergymen), and is the foremost order of Sweden. This superlative quality Star was created using close-up photographs of an authentic bullion Star and is tfore accurate in design, dimension and thickness to an original award. It has been laboriously hand embroidered by craftsman out of ultra-fine silver wire, thinner than a human hair and woven in a tight coil through which thread is passed. It shines absolutely brilliantly, as you would expect rich precious metal to do. Bullion and thread hand embroidery is a vanishing 19th century art practised by very few firms around the world today. Winning bidder is requested to to remit payment in US funds by United States Postal Service PINK INTERNATIONAL money order and add $6.75 for shipping. Good luck!
