LOVELY LILACS !!!! This absolutely gorgeous Victorian antique T&V Limoge handled candy bowl or deep tray features Lilacs enhanced with hand painted enameling. The enameling just makes the Lilacs "POP" right out! This is a very old and rare T&V mold. T is a deep swell in the middle and it sits up fairly high for a tray, so it could be considered a bowl. It is very elegant with raised detail near the scalloped, ruffled edge of the original mold. The edge is heavily gilded. The gilding shows light normal age wear. It is marked Tressemann and Vogt Limoges France Mark 8. This dates it 1892 to 1907!!!! It is also marked with the professional decorators mark! Size: 9 1/2" long x 6 1/4" (at widest points) x 1 3/4" tall. Condition: EXCELLENT ~ no cracks or chips.
