Up for bid is a Swiss-made chiming clock; it is approx. 14-3/4 in. tall by 8 in. wide by 4 in. deep. On the left front edge is a chip about 1/8 in. across (see photo). This lovely clock chimes the hour, with a single strike on the half-hour. It works just great, and keeps amazingly good time. I saw this same clock in gold-colored paint on eBay with an opening bid of $200.00. Go figure! The crisp, clear chime is created by the polished, brass bell in the photo; I will include a key for winding the two stems, one for the clock movement, the other for the chime. On the dial is printed "Comtesse" and "Swiss Made". On the back of the polished brass movement is stamped "82, 151-070, 21cm, 148". The artist who painted the flower arrangements signed the back of the clock: "Eliane". I have no doubt that this clock sells for several hundred dollars new.
