This is a listing for motor only which is a 1328 9 pole motor it is Swiss designed Portescap, (escap) coreless motor with the famous Coreless design in so many space age Devices. Furthermore this motor has Rare earth magnets which doubles the available torque to make a loco crawl at low speed with no cogging. Double shaft enables flywheel and or gearhead or even double gearheads!!. Escap now has factories in many other countries. It has 1.5 mm double shafts 13 mm (Diameter) coreless motor with 9 poles and 28 mm long body. This is Coreless can motor for brass or plastic loco. It flywheels a few seconds and thats enough to coast you through dirty trackwork for several inches to prevent stalling the steam or diesel locomotive through dirty or rough track. This motor is available with a stock 5.5 Escap planetary 13 mm gearhead and an encoder. see other listings. Remove the gearhead and encoder and you have the best 13 mm motor money can buy with 9 poles and rare earth magnets. It is short enough to fit even N scale diesels or can be fitted with a 10 mm gearhead 4 to 1 ratio and flywheel on the rear. Even double gearheads on both ends!! So multiply that times your gear ratio to find out what your motor drive shaft speed should be. This also works out to about 1 mile per hour for each 1 inch of driver diameter: 45 inch drivers should go 45 miles per hour at scale speed--60 inch drivers go 60 mph. etc. At top speed or 5 to 6 piston strokes per second.
