This is the Swiss army "bread bag". It was designed to be carried attached to
the top of the mountain rucksack (backpack) or for day trips carried by its own web shoulder strap or worn on a waistbelt suspended from its own leather belt loops. T is a pocket inside for the canteen and cup set that is included. Since this is the "Swiss Army Hiking Set", you will also get, in addition to the bag and canteen, the following items: 1 set of un-issued waterproof, zip-up wool gaiters to cover your boot tops and trouser legs to keep out snow, brush, water, mud etc., 1 un-issued pair of gray 100% wool mittens with leather palms to keep your pinkies from freezing off and a brand new neck warmer that just slips over your head to..... well, keep your neck warm, one pair of rubberized over-mittens to cover your wool mittens if you are in a lot of slush. And, finally, a brand new, never issued or used "alpenflage" poncho with a hood and closing (with snaps) arm holes in case you just want to be completely covered under it. In the pictures, I show the back and front shots of the bag with all but the gaiters inside. This is a great deal if you add up the prices on Ebay for these items sold separately. Everything you need for a nice hike in the mountains. And you get it all with just one shipping and handling charge. If you got all of this stuff separately from other Ebay vendors, the cost of the items and the shipping would be well over $100. I am offering a 60% savings with this combination.
