This painting depicts a chalet and village in the French region of Switzerland in summer. Our local museum estimates this was painted in the mid 1920s and was purchased by a member of our family in the mid 1930s. It is being sold to help settle a family estate. It is in excellent condition for its age and measures 13" x 16", oil on old art board. This painting was purchased over 70 years ago as an anniversary gift to one of our grandfathers. It is at least two generations removed so we provide the best history we can. We can state that this has been in the family and has never been offered for sale. It is offered as a "Buy-it-Now". Shipping will be arranged with the buyer. Sale is final.
