At auction is wonderful vintage Swiss Thorens Music Box. It is a wood inlay box, hinged top, and clear cover over the the music box. There is a small button in the front which slides to control on and off. The music box plays 3 tunes: Lara's Theme, Edelweiss, and Try To Remember. The mechanisms all work and the sound is lovely. The wood box is very elegant with inlay in the center and edging. It is label marked made in Switzerland on the top cover. Hinged top is tight and cover lid fits snuggly to box. The music box measures 6 3/4" across, near 4" deep, and 2 3/4" high. The music box is not flat but has four corner feet and sides and centers coved. The color is a rich brown. This item was owned by a collector of music boxes. The condition of the box is very nice, the wood is slightly dry on top. Shows small cracks in the varnish on top surface (hard to picture). I see no major chips, wood separations, or marks defacing the music box. Great collectible music box. Winning bidder pays shipping/Parcel Post/delivery confirmation. Thanks for viewing.
