This sword is outside my collecting area, so I ran it by some others and their lack of specific consensus suggest that this sword was carried by an Occupation Official in the post 1905 era. Another possibility is Manchuria after 1931. It could also been carried by an officer who was cooperating with the occupiers. If anyone wishes to contribute to this description, please jump in.The occupied areas include; China, Korea, Manchuria etc. This sword could have been made in Japan or one of the occupied areas.The grip is ray skin. This sword is not chrome plated and seems to lack any plating at all.The condition is very good, except for the scabbard near the drag.The overall length is 36 1/2 inches.If you have a question, ask it.I will ship international, but any local regulations are the buyers problem, not mine.
