Handmade 1045 Carbon Steel Sword of the Stranger Movie Katana Now, from the most rousing samurai ethics in recent history brings this Full Functional Samurai Katana Sword. This sword can be seen featured in the newly released film, Sword of the Stranger. It is carried by the one person who they called “No Name”, A nihilistic swordsman who sealed his sword. This newly released sword features a Full Tang Double Pegged construction meaning the blade goes through the Tsuka (handle) up to the Kashira (buttcap). The Tsuka on this masterpiece carries a red cotton cord Tsuka-Ito (Handle Wrap) over the imitation ‘Same’. One traditional Menuki (ornament) accompanies the Tsuka on both sides. Two Mekugi (bamboo peg) helps secure the Tsuka in place which makes it Full Tang so the handle would not come off. Following the Tsuka is the Fuchi (Collar) and the Tsuba (guard). The Tsuba was recreated to match the one ‘No Name’ carries in Sword of the Stranger. The 29 inch blade carries a traditional Shinogi Zukuri shape which is the most commonly use when creating a blade. It is made from 1045 High Carbon Steel which is then accompanies by the Blood Grove that helps it to balance and give a better swing.
