is an outstanding Sydney 2000 Olympic Gold Collection - Special Edition, 8-gold-coin Proof Set. Actually it is 7 gold coins and a gold medal. This complete set cointains eight 10 grams 99.99% gold pieces. The set comes in its original box from the Royal Australian and Perth Mints and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The coins are $100 legal tender coins and 6 of the 8 pieces feature a colourized design. The Series of eight Gold Proof coins celebrates the athletic themes: " The Journey Begins", "Dedication", "Preparation" and "Achievement". The Sydney 2000 Olympic Coin Program was a joint venture between The Royal Australian Mint and The Perth Mint to commemorate the Olympic Games in Sydney. All coins were dated "2000" to commemorate the Olympic Games in Sydney in the year 2000. The coins were minted between 1997 and 2000. This set is numbered 22,312 with a limited issue of 30,000.
